Awards

Pick a badge and see every active member's standing on it — holding, expiring, lapsed or not earned — then award or revoke it by hand and export the roster.

Awards is the training officer's roster: who holds each badge, who is due to recertify, and who still needs it. Open it from Recognition → Awards. It works one badge at a time. The badges you hold yourself are on your own badge wall under Account settings → Badges.

Award a badge by hand, Revoke oneAward badges

Manage badges on its own lets you design badges and read the roster, but the Award and Revoke buttons appear only for people who hold Award badges — and the database refuses an award or revoke from anyone else. In a new agency only the seeded Admin group holds both permissions; give Award badges to the group your training officers are in.

The page works whether or not recognition is switched on, including awarding by hand. Members see their badges only once it is on — see Recognition settings.

Choosing a badge

The Badge card has a picker listing your agency's badges and the ROK catalog badges you have switched on; the first is selected when the page opens. Beside it are the badge's artwork and "N of N members holding" — members whose state is Holding or Expiring soon, out of everyone on the roster. Search members… narrows the table by name or email, and CSV exports the roster.

With no badges available at all, the page reads "No badges are active yet. Create one, or switch on a badge from the ROK catalog."

The roster

One row for every active member of your agency, showing their most recent award of the chosen badge.

Award a badge by hand

Award appears on Not earned, Lapsed and Revoked rows when the badge is set to be awarded By hand or Either in the badge designer. For a badge awarded Automatically there is no button, and a note under the table explains how to change that.

There is no confirmation step. Select Award and what happens next:

  • The member holds the badge from now. You are recorded as the person who awarded it.
  • The badge's points are banked to them, and its expiry, if it has one, is stamped on the award — a period counts from today.
  • Their level is worked out again. While recognition is on, any badge that depends on this one — a prerequisite or a completed track — is checked at once.
  • The award is recorded in the agency's audit log, under People & access → Audit log (opens the admin console).

A manual award does not check the badge's steps, so confirm the member has done what the badge stands for. The database refuses an award, with a message, when the member already holds the badge, has been awarded it the maximum number of times, or the badge is inactive.

Revoke a badge

Revoke appears on Holding and Expiring soon rows. The confirmation names the member and the badge: they lose the badge and any points it carried, and the award stays in their history marked as revoked. Confirm with Revoke badge. What happens next:

  • The points the award carried are taken back, and the member's level is worked out again — a level that required this badge is lost at once.
  • The row shows Revoked. The award is kept, not deleted.
  • If the member had shared the badge publicly, the link keeps working but reports the credential as revoked, so anyone checking it can tell it was withdrawn.
  • The revoke is recorded in the agency's audit log.

Export the roster

CSV downloads the roster for the chosen badge as a file named after the badge's slug, with Name, Email, State, Awarded and Expires columns (dates as year-month-day). It always contains every member on the roster — the search box does not filter the export. The file holds members' email addresses, so store and share it accordingly.
