Content analytics
How one item is being used in the field — views over the last 30 days, favourites, completions, quiz results and checklist progress — as agency-wide totals, never per person.
Content analytics shows how one item is being used by your operators. Open an item and select Analytics at the top of its edit page, next to Print binder. The dashboard links here too: the weakest quizzes under Quiz performance, and the items under Acknowledgment coverage.
Everything on the page is a total across your agency. It never shows which operator read, saved or scored what. For agency-wide trends across all content, use the dashboard.
Who sees the numbers
The figures are returned only to staff — anyone whose groups carry at least one permission. Someone with no permissions who opens the page sees every number as zero, and no checklist panel. The database decides this, not the page.
When the page is switched off
Content analytics is a feature your agency can switch off in Settings → Features (opens the admin console). While it is off, the Analytics button disappears from the editor and this page reads "Content analytics is turned off for this agency (Settings → Features)." with a Back to editor button. Switching it off only hides the page; the operator app keeps recording reads, so the history is there when you switch it back on.
The headline numbers
The page is titled with the item's name, and Back to editor returns you to it.
| Tile | Counts |
|---|---|
| Views (30 days) | Times the item was opened in the operator app in the last 30 days. Underneath: the all-time total |
| Favorites | Operators who currently have the item saved as a favourite. Removing a favourite lowers it |
| Completions | Operators who have completed the item. Each operator counts once |
| Quiz pass rate | For a quiz, the share of all attempts that passed (0% until the first attempt). Reads Quiz and — for anything that is not a quiz |
A view is one opening of the item, so one operator reading it five times adds five. A read is counted only if the item is still published when it reaches ROK.
Views over time
A daily chart of views for the last 30 days, with today at the right-hand end (day 30). Hover a day for its count.
Reading history is kept in full for 400 days. After that it is reduced to a single count per item per day, with no record of who read it, so the all-time total keeps counting old views without keeping anyone's history.
Quiz performance
Shown for quizzes only. The heading line gives the number of attempts, how many operators made them, and the average score. The chart shows how many attempts fell into each score band: 0–49, 50–69, 70–84, 85–99 and 100.
Every attempt counts, retakes included, so an operator who passes on the third try adds two fails and a pass. Compare attempts with operators to see how much retaking is going on. Quiz attempts are kept for the life of your agency.
Checklist engagement
Shown for checklists only, under Engagement:
| Figure | Means |
|---|---|
| Operators | Operators who have started the checklist |
| Avg. steps done | The average number of steps ticked, against the checklist's total steps |
| Avg. completion | The same as a percentage |
| Fully completed | Operators who have ticked every step |
"No operators have started this checklist yet." means just that. Operators can only start a checklist once it is published.
When something goes wrong
If the figures cannot be loaded, the reason appears in red above the tiles and the numbers stay at zero. An item that has never been published will show zeros everywhere, because operators have never been able to open it.
